The Zojirushi CD-WBC40-TS Micom works by initially boiling the water and then keeping it at your preferred temperature – perfect for a variety of teas and coffees. It can take around 20 minutes to initially boil a full 4 liters and then the Zojirushi Micom will bring the water down to your preferred choice of temperature and keep it there.
The Zojirushi CD-WBC40-TS Micom features a micro-computerized temperature control system with 4 keep-warm temperature settings to choose from: 140, 175, 195 or 208 degrees F. The Zojirushi plays a chime when the boiling is complete, so that you know when it has reached the right temperature.
The LCD display on the Zojirushi Micom gives a constant read-out of the water temperature, while the water level indicator shows how much water is left in the pot, so you always know when it needs refilling. For safety, the Zojirushi Micom incorporates an automatic shut-off feature so you don’t have to worry about the machine burning itself out if there’s no water left in the pot.
Other safety features include: an Unlock button that has to be pressed before the water can be dispensed to prevent accidental spillage; a magnetic plug which means that if you were to accidentally pull on it, the plug would simple release rather than pulling the boiler over; a steam save function which automatically lowers the power just before boiling to reduce the amount of steam emitted.
