The Troy Bilt Vortex 2890 and 2690 are gas-powered snow throwers that utilize a powerful 357cc OHV 4-cycle OHV electric-start engine.
Incorporating a 3-stage process for a more effective efficient machine, the Vortex 2890 and 2690 are fitted with a new 12” accelerator which spins at 10 times the speed of the Xtreme augers, making these snow throwers capable of breaking down even the wettest heaviest snow.

The Troy Bilt Vortex 2890 is the larger of the two snow throwers with a path clearing width of 28” while the Vortex 2690 has a path clearing width of 26”. Both snow throwers have a clearing depth of 21”.
For ease of operation, both the Troy Bilt Vortex 2890 and 2690 feature an All-wheel drive system, Just One Hand operator controls (with heated handle grips), Touch ‘n Turn power steering, together with 6 forward speeds and 2 reverse speeds.
Both snow throwers are fitted with X-Trac tires for extra traction and to make easy work of ploughing through large piles of snow. The Vortex 2890 is fitted with large 16” X-Trac tires while the Vortex 2690 is fitted with slightly smaller 15” tires.
Both the Troy Bilt Vortex 2890 and 2690 come with a high-impact 4-way pitch and chute control (with 200 degrees chute rotation) that enables you to easily manage and change the direction of the snow discharge.
