Comparing Keurig K450 versus Keurig K550 2.0 Brewing System, What's the Difference?

Both the Keurig K450 and K550 have customizable settings and Strength Control, allowing you to brew the perfect cup of coffee or other beverages just the way you like them. The K450 and K550 even have separate settings for speciality drinks like hot cocoa, chai or mochas.
Utilizing Keurig’s revolutionary 2.0 Brewing Technology, the K450 and K550 are designed to read the lid of each K-cup/K-carafe for auto brewing the perfect beverage.  You’re spoilt for choice with over 500 varieties of coffee, tea and speciality drinks (including iced beverages) to choose from.

The Keurig K450 and K550 can brew a single cup of coffee in under 1 minute or a 4-cup carafe in around just 3 minutes, all at the simple touch of a button.

Both the Keurig K450 and K550 feature a color LCD touch display screen, with the K550’s screen being slightly larger at 2.8” compared to the 450’s 2.4” screen.

Both Keurig Brewing Systems have a removable water reservoir for easy filling, but there’s a difference in the size of the water reservoirs between these 2 coffee machines, with the K450 holding 70 ounces of water and the K550 holding 80 ounces of water.

Both the Keurig K450 and K550 also have removable drip trays to fit larger mugs or a carafe under the dispensing spout.  Both machines come with a Keurig carafe (non-thermal).

Additional features of both these Keurig Brewing Systems include a programmable clock, auto brew, strength control, customizable settings, illuminated water reservoir, auto on/off, favorite settings, customizable wallpaper, energy saver mode.

Extra features that the Keurig K550 has which the K450 doesn’t have include Hot Water on Demand and a customizable night light.

The Keurig K450 offers 9 brew sizes while the K550 offers 10 brew sizes.  Both machines are compatible with K-cup pods (Keurig 2.0, My K-Cup & Reusable Filter), Vue pods, K-mug pods and K-carafe pods.

Both the Keurig K450 and K550 come with a 2.0 Water Filter handle with one filter and also come with 6 K-cup pods and 4 K-carafe pods to get you started.
