Comparing Snow Joe SJ625E versus SJ623E Electric Snow Throwers, What's the Difference?

No more back-breaking shovelling with the Snow Joe SJ625E or SJ623E Electric Snow Throwers! Offering the convenience of electric power, these snow throwers deliver the performance of a gas snow thrower but are lighter and easier to use.

Both the Snow Joe SJ625E and SJ623E Snow Throwers utilize a powerful 15-amp motor with easy instant push-button start.

The Snow Joe SJ625E is the larger of the two snow throwers with a wider and deeper snow clearing path and a higher snow clearing capacity overall.  The SJ625E features a steel auger with 2 rubber blades and is capable of clearing up to 800 lbs of snow per minute.  It boasts a 21” wide clearing path and clears down to 12” deep in a single pass.

In comparison, the Snow Joe SJ623E is still pretty powerful, capable of moving up to 720 lbs of snow per minute with its 4-blade heavy-grade steel auger.  The SJ623E has a narrower snow clearing path width of 18” and clears down to 10” deep in a single pass.

Both the Snow Joe SJ625E and SJ623E Snow Throwers feature a base scraper blade that clears right down to the ground without damaging your deck or pavement.

Both the Snow Joe SJ625E and SJ623E allow you full control over the snow stream output.  They both feature an adjustable 180 degree rotational chute and adjustable deflector so you can adjust both the direction and height of the snow stream output.  There is a difference between the two machines as to how far they can throw the snow, with the SJ625E offering a throw snowing distance of up to 20 ft while the SJ623E actually has a longer snow throwing distance capacity of up to 25 ft.

See what other customers who have bought either the Snow Joe SJ625E or SJ623E Electric Snow Throwers have to say about them:

P.H.:
“The Snow Joe SJ625E certainly saves time and effort!  It’s a nice light duty machine and handles 6-8” of light-to-medium weight snow fairly well.  I’ve used it to clear a few paths and a light slope area of about 15x50ft and it gets the job done nicely.  It’s nice to have a snow thrower with an electric cord rather than having to worry about gas, oil and maintenance.”

N.C.:
“The SJ625E is a nice little snow thrower.  So far I’ve used it on around 10” of snow and it has worked well.”

B.G.:
“For an electric snow blower, the SJ623E does a great job.  We get a lot of snow here in the mountains where I live and this machine makes short work of clearing it (even packed snow!).  Personally I don’t care much for the extension cord part, but I will deal with it as this electric snow thrower is much more affordable than a gas one and is also easier to store.”

P.R.:
“Bought the SJ623E snow thrower last year ahead of an expected blizzard and it was a life saver.  This machine is as easy to use as a lawn mower and works great.  We were so impressed with this, we bought one for our daughter and son-in-law for xmas.”

A.C.:
“The Snow Joe SJ623E is a great snow blower.  We’ve used this for 2 winters so far and it has not disappointed.  Have to be careful with a long cord attached – we’ve run over one already!  However, the machine itself handles a high level of snow and works very effectively.  Great buy!”
