I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with either of these Snow Joe Power Snow Shovels. The cordless option makes these snow shovels ideal for getting into spaces where an extension cord can’t reach. The long running time of the battery (up to 52 minutes) should be adequate for clearing smaller areas like decks, steps, sidewalks and patios, so if you think this is all you need, then opt for the Snow Joe iON13SS and save yourself some $$s.
If however, you’re likely to want to use the snow shovel for longer than the estimated battery running time, or may on occasion have more area to clear, then opt for the Snow Joe iON13SS-HYB. For the relatively small extra cost, the Snow Joe iON13SS-HYB’s hybrid system is well worth it, and you’ll love the fact that you never have to worry about losing power and only getting the job half-done!
N.B. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for safe use of snow thrower machines.
