Comparing Snow Joe SJ623E versus SJ622E Electric Snow Throwers, What's the Difference?

The Snow Joe SJ623E and SJ622E Electric Snow Throwers make quick and easy work of clearing heavier snowfalls from mid-to-large sized driveways and walkways.

The Snow Joe SJ623E and SJ622 are virtually the same machine with the main difference between them being that the SJ623E features a 20 watt halogen headlight for safe night-time snow clearing which the SJ622E does not have. There’s a slight difference in the overall weight of the snow throwers and, as you would expect, there’s a slight difference in overall retail price (see tables below for full features compared).

With their 15-amp motor, the SJ623E and SJ622E are Snow Joe’s more powerful snow throwers capable of moving up to 720 lbs of snow per minute.  Both of these snow throwers feature a durable 4-blade heavy-grade steel auger, capable of clearing a snow path 18” wide and down to 10” deep in a single pass, and the unit’s base scraper blade clears right down to the ground without damaging your deck/pavement.

Summary

The Snow Joe SJ623E and SJ622E are powerful snow throwers that deliver the performance of a gas snow thrower but with the convenience of electric power.  With their powerful motor, these snow throwers are high-performing, with the ability to tackle heavier snowfalls on mid-to-large sized driveways/walkways, whilst still being lightweight enough to handle with ease.

For the relatively little price difference, the addition of the headlight on the SJ623E is well-worth the extra price.  Given the short daylight hours we tend to get through the winter, it’s definitely worth having the option of a headlight for safe snow clearing at any time of day or night.

Note on Discount:

In fact, at time of writing, the discount offered on my links for the Snow Joe SJ623E actually makes it around $4 CHEAPER than the SJ622E.  So you can get the snow thrower with the headlight for LESS money than the one without the headlight - get it while the discount lasts!
