Comparing Toro 1800 (38381) versus Toro 1500 (38371) Electric Power Curve Snow Blower, What's the Difference?

So what’s the difference between the Toro 1800 (38381) and Toro 1500 (38371) Snow Throwers?  The main differences between these 2 electric snow throwers comes down to the size and power of the machines with the Toro 1800 (38381) being the larger and more powerful machine.

The Toro 1800 Power Curve (38381) Snow Thrower has a 15 amp Series Wound motor and moves up to 700 lb of snow per minute.  This snow blower can clear a path 18” wide and 12” deep in one pass.

The Toro 1500 Power Curve (38371) Snow Thrower has a 12 amp Series Wound motor and moves up to 500 lb of snow per minute.  This snow blower can clear a path 15” wide and 12” deep in one pass.

There’s also a difference in snow throw distance between these 2 machines, with the Toro 1800 (38381) having a longer throwing distance of up to 30 feet, while the Toro 1500 (38371) is capable of throwing up to 25 feet.

Both the Toro snow throwers have a ZIP Deflector which allows you to change the direction and locks in the angle to throw snow where you want it to go.  The Toro 1800 (38381) offers Quick Lever Chute Control with 160 degrees adjustability , while the Toro 1500 (38371) offers Chute Lever Easy-grip Handle Control with 180 degrees adjustability.

Both the Toro 1800 and 1500 Electric Power Curve Snow Throwers have an ergonomic handle for comfort and ease of use, and the handle folds for easy storing.  Both snow throwers feature large 6” wheels for better traction and both machines feature a cord-lock system to ensure there’s no interruption to power.
