Winix HR1000's 5-stage air purification process

The Winix HR1000’s 5-stage purification process begins with a washable Pre-Filter that acts as the first line of defence against large airborne particles.  The CD (coated deodorization) Carbon Filter acts as the second stage of purification and is up to 97% effective at protecting against VOCs and household odors such as smoke, cooking and pets.  These first two stages help to prolong the life of the True HEPA Filter.

The third stage of the Winix HR1000’s purification system is the Anti-microbial coating on the True HEPA Filter which prohibits growth of microbes and bacteria.  The True HEPA Filter itself is the fourth stage of purification and captures 99.97% of airborne allergens (up to 0.3 microns in size) such as dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, microbes and smoke.

The final stage of Winix HR1000’s 5-stage purification system is its PlasmaWave Technology which creates Hydroxyls and works at a molecular level to safely break down and neutralize allergens, bacteria, chemical vapors, odors and other indoor pollutants.  You’ll be pleased to know that it does all this WITHOUT emitting any harmful ozone.
