“I've had the Omega 4000 juicer for over a month and find that it works extremely well. I can get 16 ounces of juice from two apples, one carrot and one orange and the pulp is fairly dry. You do have to cut up fruit and vegetables into pieces that will fit into the chute. However, other juicers that feature extra-wide chutes weren't originally designed to accommodate those wide chutes. The manufacturers have merely adapted earlier models without changing other aspects of the design to efficiently juice whole fruit and vegetables. This juice machine is well made enough to last many years. The plastic is both rugged and stain resistant. The steel is rust-proof surgical stainless steel. Some other reviewers have mentioned problems with the plastic parts cracking. On calling the manufacturer, they said that this is a rare problem and is due to cleaning in a dishwasher.
