The InSinkErator Evolution Essential has a larger 40 oz capacity for bigger families, while the InSinkErator Excel matches the Essential’s 40 oz capacity but with a slightly more powerful motor (1 HP compared to ¾ HP).
All 3 versions of the InSinkErator Garbage Disposers are easy to install with InSinkErator’s stainless steel Quick-lock sink mount. You simply twist off your old garbage disposer and twist on the new InSinkErator.

In addition, all 3 InSinkErator Evolution Garbage Disposers utilize MultiGrind Technology to quickly grind virtually any food waste, anything from vegetable peel to small bones. The grind chamber and grind components are all made with stainless steel for durability and longevity. The Compact and Essential models feature a 2-stage grinding process while the Excel model features a more heavy-duty 3-stage grinding process as well as a jam-sensor circuit that automatically increases torque to break through jams.
