The Canon EOS 6D offers 14-bit A/D conversion with a wide range of ISO settings, together with powerful noise reduction capabilities, which gives brilliant performance even in low-light conditions.  ISO ranges from 100-25600 with expandable sensitivities down to ISO 50(L) and up to ISO 51200 (H1) and ISO 102400 (H2).

The Canon EOS 6D features a new 11-point AF system which includes a high-precision center cross-type AF point with EV-3 sensitivity for accurate fast and accurate focusing even in very low-light conditions.  Focus options include:

·         One-Shot AF
·         AI Servo AF
·         AI Focus AF

The AI Servo focus offers customization ability with tracking sensitivities (acceleration and deceleration), as well as first or second image priority adjustments.

The iFCL (intelligent Focus Color Luminance) Metering with 63-zone dual-layering metering sensor of the Canon EOS 6D integrates the camera’s AF system into its readings for accurate results whatever the lighting, as it takes into account the color and luminosity around the selected AF points.

The Canon EOS 6D offers continuous shooting speeds of up to 4.5 frames per second, enabling you to capture fast action.

The Canon EOS 6D features HD video movie capture which offers full HD video recording up to 1080/30p which is impressive for a DSLR camera.  The HD movie capture feature supports H.264/MPEG-4 AVC High Profile and offers 2 compression options:

·        All-I Compression (compresses each frame, resulting in a large file size, but making it more suitable for editing).
·        IPB Compression (uses high compression, making it more suitable for recording longer videos/movies).

See what other customers who have bought the Canon EOS 6D 20.2 MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera with 3.0 Inch LCD have to say about it:

S.D.:
“The big difference with the Canon EOS 6D is how it excels with low light performance.  I was able to shoot beach scenes at night with no tripod - I got very nice images at ISO 2000 with image stabilization and shooting RAW.  The same features come into play when shooting very small objects in macro mode.  If you’re used to seeing serious image degradation at ISO 800 and above that occurs with most cameras, then this camera will change everything – it gives clean shots at 2000 and is still very usable right up to 3200.”

N.R.:
“I upgraded from my T3i to this Canon EOS 6D.  It works beautifully and gives a lovely depth of field even in lighting conditions that would normally force you to stop down.   In my mind this is a great alternative to the 5DmkIII and is considerably cheaper.  It has all the bells and whistles of the 5DmkIII but isn’t as complicated.  It has 2 custom modes that enable you to set up profiles ahead of time to match your needs.  I love the WIFI function that enables me to sync my smartphone for remote viewing and firing.”

T.W.:
“I bought the Canon EOS 6D and lens combination.  This is an excellent camera and the lens is really good with a wide range of focal lengths.  Auto-focus is fast and reliable and both daylight and low-light are handled brilliantly.  Even at high ISO, noise is well retained.   I did consider buying the Canon Mark 5d III but it’s a lot bulkier and heavier and although it has a few more features, it is also a lot more expensive.  The Canon EOS 6D’s build quality is very high and it is smaller and lighter and therefore easier to carry around than most other full-frame DSLRs.  The user interface of the Canon EOS 6D is intuitive to use, fast and simple – it’s one of the best I have ever used.  I would definitely recommend this camera and lens, especially for the relatively low price.”
