Incorporating advanced HD-SLR technology, the lightweight Nikon D7100 24.1 MP DX-Format CMOS Digital SLR produces amazing results – it’s been specifically designed without using an optical low pass filter (OLPF) to produce the most pure and sharp images possible.

The Nikon D7100's high-resolution DX-format CMOS sensor is combined with fast processing speeds, 6 fps continuous shooting up to 100 shots, ultra-precise autofocus and metering systems, an ISO range from 100 up to 6400, together with an extra lens reach of 1.5x crop factor.

The 6 fps high-speed shooting capabilities of the Nikon D7100 DSLR is accompanied by Nikon’s accurate metering and autofocus systems, which uses 51 focus points (including 15 cross type sensors) for fast precise focusing.  The central cross-type sensor works all the way down to f/8.

This is combined with the 2016-pixel RGB metering sensor that takes into account brightness, contrast, subject distance, and color to accurately evaluate every scene for auto operations such as Face Priority and full-time auto-focus with video capture.

The Nikon D7100 DX-Format CMOS DSLR allows you to shoot movies at 1080p or 720p, with both full-time autofocus and manual exposure control.  In addition, it features a built-in stereo mic, an external stereo mic jack, headphone and HDMI jacks, and dual SD card slots for additional recording time.  The new 60i function enables smooth playback on HDTVs or other external monitors.

The Nikon D7100 24.1 MP DX-Format CMOS Digital SLR is compatible with the WU-1a Wireless Mobile Adapter (available separately) for easy wireless sharing of your photos, enabling you to instantly transfer them to a compatible smartphone or tablet (Android and iOS).  You can even use your phone or tablet to remotely control your D7100 DSLR, great for self-portraits and more!

The Nikon D7100 24.1 MP DX-Format CMOS Digital SLR is compatible with Nikon’s NIKKOR DX- and FX-format lenses.

Summary:

The Nikon D7100 24.1 MP DX-Format CMOS Digital SLR is the upgraded version of the D7000 and produces amazing quality pictures, even in low light situations.  It looks very similar to the D7000 but has a higher specification, with a higher resolution, better autofocus system, and a slightly larger LCD display screen.  The autofocus performance of this camera is on par with professional-level DSLRs, with fast response time.  Compared to the D3000 series, the D7100 does a much better job in low light conditions, with noticeably less noise (grain) at higher ISOs.

See what other customers who have bought the Nikon D7100 24.1 MP DX-Format CMOS Digital SLR have to say about it:

R.Q.:
“I upgraded to the Nikon D7100 DSLR from a D3100 and this is a huge step up.  To me, everything about the D7100 is awesome!  I like how a lot of the settings are on the outside of the camera and not buried in menus.”

J.S.:
“The Nikon D7100 Digital SLR camera has so far proved to be excellent, and far exceeds my old D90.  My Nikon 80-400 VR lens is at its best with this camera with fast and accurate focusing.  It works with my old AI-s lenses measuring exposure but with manual focus.  The advantages with this camera are too numerous too mention.  If you’re thinking about upgrading your camera, this D7100 is definitely a good choice.”

J.A.:
“The Nikon D7100 DSLR camera produces great quality images.  The camera’s not a pro build, it feels cheap and light, but that’s what you’d expect from a consumer model.  The ISO capability is impressive, much better than the D300s I’d used for years – I gained 2-3 stops with the D7100.  Even at the high ISOs, noise is finer and less noticeable thanks to the high resolution.  Shutter noise with the D7100 is remarkably quiet too.  Overall the D7100 is a winning camera.”

J.G.:
“I finally upgraded to the Nikon D7100 after many good years with an older Nikon DSLR.  I simply can’t say enough about this camera!  The picture quality from this camera is phenomenal.  It’s easy to use even for beginners and has all the functionality for more serious photography.  If you’re thinking about this camera, buy it, you won’t be disappointed.”
