Optimized for use with the Nikon DX-format digital SLR cameras, the Nikon Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G AF-S DX Lens is a very versatile lens and is ideal for everyday photography, landscapes and even portraits producing a nice natural bokeh.

The Nikon 35mm f/1.8G AF-S DX Lens produces sharp images with great color and contrast.  The fast f/1.8 is ideal for taking pictures in low light situations.  The super image quality of this lens is down to the aspherical lens element which minimizes coma and other lens aberrations.  Colors are consistent with reduced flare thanks to Nikon’s Super Integrated Coating (SIC) which enhances the efficiency of light transmission through the lens.

The Nikon 35mm f/1.8G AF-S DX Lens is capable of focusing in close to just under 1 ft.  Nikon’s SWM ring type (Silent Wave Motor) ensures quiet autofocus operation that is both fast and accurate.  The lens offers 2 focusing modes: manual override autofocus (M/A) and manual focus (M).  The Manual Override Autofocus mode enables you to instantly switch manually during Autofocus operation.  Out of focus elements (or bokeh) have a more smooth natural look thanks to the lens’ rounded 7-blade diaphragm.

When mounted on a DX-format DSLR camera, this 35mm lens is equivalent in focal length to a 50mm lens of a traditional SLR film camera (closely mimicking what the human eye can see).

D.S.:
“I own many lenses (mainly telescopic and macro), but since buying the Nikon 35mm f/1.8G AF-S DX Lens I find I use this one the most and leave it on my camera most of the time.  I highly recommend this lens.”

K.W.:
“I bought the Nikon 35mm f/1.8G AF-S DX Lens to go with my entry-level D3200 and it works beautifully.  It produces really good quality photos.  I tend to use this lens more than the 50mm prime lens.  I would say that the 35mm and the 50mm lenses are the best additions you can make to your kit as far as price and quality are concerned.”

A.W.
“The Nikon 35mm f/1.8G AF-S DX Lens is a good price for a good lens.  It’s my favorite lens so far.  I’m using it on my Nikon D5100.  It’s lightweight compared to my 18-55mm lens.  It’s fast and the images look great both on screen and when printed.”

E.C.:
“The Nikon 35mm f/1.8G AF-S DX Lens is the best value Nikon lens.  It works amazing for portraits – super sharp images with nice smooth bokeh.”
