The Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC MACRO OS HSM Zoom Lens is a great third-party lens for Canon Digital SLR cameras and retails at a much lower price than Canon’s own lenses.

The Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-5.6 DC MACRO OS HSM Lens offers high performance in a nice compact sized lens and has been designed with new TSC material - Thermally Stable Composite - to maintain its structure and to have little contractility even in varying temperatures.

With its impressive focal range from 18mm wide angle to 250mm telephoto, the Sigma Zoom Lens offers great versatility and is an all-round lens, being suitable for a whole range of photography purposes, including macro, landscapes and sports.

This lens has a minimum close focusing distance of 13.8” throughout the entire zoom range, and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.9.

The Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC MACRO OS HSM Lens features a Super Multi-layered coating to help reduce flaring and ghosting and incorporates double-sided aspherical  lenses.  The lens itself is constructed with 16 elements in 13 groups, with 7 blades rounded diaphragm.  All these elements together with the Optical Stabilization (OS) help to give this lens its clear sharp images, minimizing distortion and chromatic aberrations.

The Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC MACRO OS HSM Lens is equipped with a Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) for fast and quiet auto-focusing.  The lens offers a wide aperture range from f/3.5-6.3 to f/22.
