What is a Self Propelled Lawn Mower, Explained

The Troy Bilt TB330 and TB220 are walk-behind self-propelled lawn mowers that operate on a drive system whereby the mower actually moves forward on its own power without you having to push it.

To engage a mower’s self-propelled power, you simply squeeze the bail (bar on the handle) and then all you have to do is to walk behind the mower, guiding it as it moves forward to control the direction you want it to go in.

Self-propelled lawn mowers require virtually no effort from you, eliminating the traditional user fatigue that’s typically associated with traditional push lawn mowers.
