The Weber 741001 combines the traditional kettle grill design with production innovation.

 The closed-lid cooking damper system of the Weber grill enables you to control the heat inside the grill without lifting the lid.  By simply adjusting the damper you can smoke food at low temperatures for hours OR sear steaks quickly at higher temperatures.

The bowl and lid of the Weber kettle grill is made from steel and coated with porcelain enamel (for heat-resistance and rust-resistance), and is designed in such a way as to allow the heat to circulate around the inside of the grill for even cooking throughout.  The heavy-duty plated steel cooking grate holds enough heat to give those iconic sear marks on your grilled food.

The Weber charcoal grate is also constructed from heavy-duty plated steel for long-lasting durability and is warp/burn-through resistant.  There's enough space with this grill for direct or in-direct set-up.

Clean-up is a breeze with the Weber 741001’s One-Touch Cleaning System.  Simply rotate the handle to mobilize the 3 blades in the bowl which moves the ash through the vents down into the aluminum ash catcher for easy disposal of ash and cleaning.  Removing the ash regularly helps to prevent the vents from blocking up which in turn helps to prevent the fire from suffocating so you can cook for longer.  Alternatively, closing the One-Touch Cleaning System and the Top Damper will enable you to choke out the fire more easily.
