The portable yet powerful Honeywell 17000 Air Purifier continuously circulates the air in a closed room up to 12 ft by 14 ft at around six times per hour. It incorporates 2 filters for dramatically reducing airborne allergens and odors: a true HEPA filter which is effective at capturing particles as small as 0.3 microns and a pre-filter which helps to reduce odors.
The IntelliCheck system on the Honeywell 1700 allows you to monitor the lives of the filters. By the simple press of a button, you can find out how much life the filter has left or if it needs changing. This is indicated by blinking lights – 1 blink for lots of life, 2 blinks for average life, 3 blinks for less life, while a steady light means you should change the filter.
Depending on usage, the HEPA filter lasts between 1 and 3 years, while the pre-filter lasts around 3 months. It’s straightforward and easy to replace the filters, while the HEPA filter can be vacuumed clean for long-lasting life.
The Honeywell 17000 features easy-to-use soft-touch electronic controls with 3 speed settings, yet remains fairly quiet for a machine of its size even on the higher settings.

See what some customers who have bought the Honeywell 17000 Long-Life Pure HEPA QuietCare Air Purifier have to say about it:
Z.E:
"Because I suffer from asthma, I bought 2 of these Honeywell 1700 air purifiers – 1 for our bedroom and 1 for our home office. My partner smokes indoors if the weather doesn’t permit him to go outside. The Honeywell is great for filtering the air and provided we have it on the medium setting my partner can smoke without it triggering my asthma. The Honeywell 17000 doesn’t have an ionizer which is great for people like me with asthma as ionizers can harm the respiratory system as they produce ozone. The HEPA filter is permanent and can be easily cleaned, while the pre-filter should be replaced every 3 or 4 months. With its powerful motor and fan that successfully pulls the air through the filters, you can’t expect this machine to be silent, but it is quiet compared to other machines. We got used to the “white noise” after just two days."
J.F.:
"All I can say is WOW! I bought the Honeywell 17000 because my friend was allergic to my cats. Although it has not completely eliminated the allergy, we noticed the difference in just a couple of hours. If you suffer from allergies you will be amazed at how much this machine can help you. It’s easy to move the Honeywell around the house and besides helping with allergies, it is great with helping to reduce odours too. So for controlling allergies and/or reducing odours, I consider it to be well worth the cost."
